In 1936 and 1937 Russian-Swedish author Vladimir Semitjov wrote two science fiction novels that mention ‘pocket phones’ (I think that’s the word, it’s been years since I last read those old books – maybe it was ‘image phones’ I can’ be exactly sure, but either way, they were a lot like modern cell phones). Russians seem to be quite good at perdicting the future. In any case, in the 19th century, a Russian prince, philosopher, writer, music critic, philanthropist and pedagogue by the name of Vladimir Odoyevsky predicted the blog.
